AGR Partners is looking for a full-time Advocate with 2+ years of post-qualification experience to join its Mumbai office.

The role will involve practical legal work across Corporate & Commercial Law, Contractual Matters, Customs & Regulatory Law, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution, with direct involvement in client assignments, legal research, drafting and advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, contracts, MOUs, NDAs, service agreements and other legal documentation.
- Providing legal research and practical legal inputs on corporate and commercial matters.

•Handling matters relating to the Companies Act, LLP Act and corporate legal compliances.
- Advising on Customs Law, import-export regulations, customs procedures and related regulatory issues.
- Assisting in arbitration and commercial dispute matters, including notices, pleadings, applications, correspondence and preparation for proceedings.

Conducting legal due diligence and identifying contractual, regulatory and commercial risks.
- Drafting legal notices, opinions, resolutions, regulatory correspondence and other legal documents.
- Assisting in corporate transactions, investments, fundraising and other commercial assignments.
- Reviewing agreements from both legal and commercial risk perspectives.
- Conducting independent research on statutes, rules, regulations, notifications, circulars and judicial decisions.
- Coordinating with clients, consultants,



professionals and regulatory authorities.
- Managing multiple assignments and taking responsibility for deliverables with reasonable independence.

Candidate Profile

Advocate enrolled with a recognised State Bar Council.

2+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

Solid practical experience in Corporate & Commercial Law.

Good drafting and contract-review skills.

Working knowledge or experience in Arbitration and Customs Law will be an advantage.

Good understanding of the Companies Act, LLP Act and general commercial laws.

Ability to independently conduct legal research and analyse legal issues.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to understand a client's commercial requirement and translate it into a practical legal solution.

Willingness to work across corporate advisory, commercial transactions, regulatory matters and disputes.
