Qualification: CA / CA Inter with strong relevant experience in manufacturing accounts
1. JOB PURPOSE The Accounts Manager Cum CA will be responsible for managing the complete Finance & Accounts function of Agastya Nutrifood, ensuring accurate accounting, statutory compliance, financial reporting, taxation, internal controls, cash-flow management and financial planning.
The position will work closely with management and other departments to provide timely financial information and support business decisions.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate accounting records.
- Supervise general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Review bank, vendor, customer and inter-company reconciliations.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare monthly MIS and financial reports for management.
- Analyse revenue, expenses, profitability and major cost variances.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions.
- Coordinate preparation of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and Cash Flow statements.
B. GST & Direct Tax Compliance
- Ensure timely GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable returns.
- Monitor input tax credit reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate GST audit, departmental notices and assessments.
- Manage TDS compliance, deductions, payments and returns.
- Coordinate Income Tax return filing, tax audits and related requirements.
- Support tax planning and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Maintain proper records for statutory assessments and notices.
C. Costing & Manufacturing Finance
- Monitor product costing and manufacturing expenses.
- Analyse raw material, labour, overhead and production costs.
- Review inventory valuation and stock accounting.
- Coordinate physical stock verification and investigate variances.
- Prepare cost and profitability analysis for management.
- Monitor production-related expenses and identify cost-control opportunities.
- Support budgeting and standard-cost development.
D. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Supervise vendor invoice processing and payment schedules.
- Review vendor outstanding and ageing reports.
- Monitor customer receivables and collection status.
- Prepare receivable ageing and follow up with concerned departments.
- Ensure proper approval and documentation before payments.
- Monitor credit limits and payment terms.
E. Banking & Cash Flow Management
- Manage banking transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare daily/weekly cash-flow positions.
- Monitor working capital requirements.
- Coordinate fund transfers, payments and banking documentation.
- Liaise with banks for routine financial matters.
- Support management in cash-flow planning.
F. Budgeting & MIS
- Prepare annual budgets in coordination with management and departments.
- Prepare monthly budget-versus-actual analysis.
- Develop financial MIS and management dashboards.
- Identify significant variances and provide explanations.
- Provide financial data and analysis for management decision-making.
G. Audit & Statutory Compliance
- Coordinate statutory audit, tax audit and internal audit activities.
- Prepare schedules, supporting documents and audit confirmations.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Maintain statutory records and financial documentation.
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors and tax professionals where required.
H. Internal Controls
- Establish and monitor accounting controls.
- Ensure proper segregation of duties and approval mechanisms.
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify financial risks and recommend corrective measures.
- Strengthen SOPs for purchase, sales, inventory, payments and expenses.
I. Team Management
- Lead and supervise the Accounts & Finance team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor work completion.
- Review accounting entries and reports prepared by the team.
- Train team members on accounting procedures and compliance.
- Establish timelines and performance standards for the department.

5. QUALIFICATION
Essential:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- CA Inter with substantial relevant experience may also be considered.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting preferred.
Preferred Certifications/Knowledge:
- CA / CA Inter
- Advanced knowledge of GST and taxation
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards
- ERP/accounting software knowledge
- Advanced MS Excel skills

EXPERIENCE Preferred: 5–10 years of relevant experience.
Experience in manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, nutraceutical, food products or similar industries will be an advantage.
Candidates should preferably have hands-on experience in:

10. LOCATION & WORKING CONDITIONS Work Location: Agastya Nutrifood, Rajoda, Bavla, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The position will primarily operate from the manufacturing/office facility and may require coordination with production, stores, purchase, vendors, banks, auditors and statutory authorities.
11. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE The ideal candidate should be a hands-on Finance & Accounts professional capable of independently managing the company's accounting and compliance function.
The candidate should combine

Candidates with experience in a food manufacturing/FMCG/nutraceutical environment will be preferred.
