Role Description The Accountant at The Travel Konnection will manage day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining accurate ledgers, processing invoices, tracking expenses, and reconciling accounts. The role will involve preparing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure financial stability and compliance. The Accountant will also handle tax-related documentation, assist with audits, and collaborate with management to provide financial insights for decision-making.

This is a full time, on-site role based in Kolkata,



requiring regular coordination with internal teams and vendors to support smooth financial operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support planning and decision-making.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software - Tally and ERP Systems and spreadsheets, along with solid data entry and numerical accuracy.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic audit processes.
- Candidates should possess effective communication, organization, and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Experience in the travel or hospitality industry, or working with service-based businesses, is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
