Salary: ₹20,000 to ₹40,000 per month, depending on experience and skills

About Us

Manufacturer of packaging products, including PET bottles, PP bottles and caps serving leading brands in pharma, cosmetics, agro, dairy and beverages. Our factory is in Daman, and we are now setting up our Surat office. This is a chance to be among the first members of the Surat team and to work directly with senior management.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced accountant who can do more than data entry. You will handle accounting entries, prepare and analyse reports, spot trends and issues on your own, and report your findings to management and the owner. You will report to the Accounts Head.

Key Responsibilities

- Post day-to-day accounting entries (purchase invoices, payments, receipts, journal entries)
- Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and GRNs before booking
- Prepare bank reconciliations and vendor and customer ledger reconciliations
- Generate and analyse reports such as ageing, stock valuation, ledgers, trial balance, and purchase and sales registers




- Prepare regular MIS reports in Excel and present clear findings to management and the owner
- Proactively identify patterns, variances and areas of concern, and flag them without waiting to be asked
- Support GST, TDS and month-end closing in coordination with the Accounts Head and company CA
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of vouchers and supporting documents
- Coordinate with the Daman factory accounts and stores teams

Requirements

- B.Com / M.Com (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing company
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business One
- Strong MS Excel skills (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
- Good understanding of GST, TDS and standard accounting practices
- Strong analytical ability and comfort presenting findings to senior management
- Good communication in English and Hindi (Gujarati is a plus)

Good to Have

- Experience preparing MIS or dashboards for management
- Exposure to inventory and cost accounting
- Experience working with a CA or during statutory audits

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
