Role Description This is a full-time, in office Accountant role based in Chandigarh. The Accountant will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing periodic financial statements and reports. Key tasks include reconciling bank accounts, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, assisting with budgeting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.

The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies, preparing documentation for audits, and collaborating with branch and operations teams to resolve discrepancies.



The Accountant will provide clear financial insights to management and contribute to accurate, timely financial reporting that supports decision-making.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in accounting principles, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency with accounting software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, spreadsheets) and the ability to work with financial databases.
- Solid analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, banking procedures, and audit practices.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in banking or financial services accounting is preferred, along with familiarity with Indian accounting standards.
