We are looking for a smart, confident and experienced Accounts Executive with 3–4+ years of hands-on experience in complete accounting, GST, TDS and statutory compliance. The candidate should be capable of independently handling day-to-day accounting activities and should also be comfortable communicating with customers, vendors and internal teams.
The role will involve Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GST & TDS compliance, reconciliations, audits and customer payment follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete day-to-day accounting activities, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, journal entries and ledger maintenance.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and ensure timely accounting and reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain GST workings, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, along with reconciliation and related compliance.
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, workings, payments and returns.
- Ensure proper maintenance of GST, TDS and other statutory records and documentation.
- Assist in tax audits, statutory audits and annual closing activities and coordinate with auditors/consultants as required.
- Perform bank, customer and vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and conduct regular payment follow-ups with customers through calls, emails and messages.
- Maintain proper records of customer outstanding, ageing and payment commitments and regularly update management.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Purchase and Logistics teams for invoices, debit/credit notes, documentation and other accounting requirements.
- Verify invoices, supporting documents, GST details and other accounting records before processing.
- Assist in preparation of MIS reports, outstanding statements and other financial reports as required by management.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions in the accounting/ERP system.
- Support management and auditors with required financial and statutory data.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, GST, TDS and taxation requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–4+ years of relevant experience in accounts and taxation.
- Strong knowledge of complete accounting processes and practical bookkeeping.
- Hands-on working knowledge of GST – GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GST reconciliation.
- Good working knowledge of TDS, TDS returns and statutory compliance.
- Experience in handling tax audits, statutory audits and year-end closing.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Should be confident and professional while communicating with customers and vendors, particularly for payment follow-ups.
- Good follow-up skills with the ability to firmly and professionally handle outstanding payments.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Should be smart, proactive, detail-oriented and capable of working independently.
- Experience in a trading, oil & petrochemical, manufacturing or similar industry will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be someone who can independently manage the company's day-to-day accounts while also taking ownership of GST, TDS, audit coordination and receivables follow-up.
