Job DescriptionPYP Coordinator | IB Primary Years Programme NLocation: Bloomingdale International School, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh NCurriculum: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) NEmployment Type: Full-Time | On-Site NExperience: 10+ Years Preferred NDepartment: Academic Leadership NKey ResponsibilitiesnPYP Curriculum Leadership Nn Lead the effective implementation and continuous development of the IB PYP across the primary school. N Oversee the planning, implementation, documentation, review, and evaluation of the PYP curriculum. N Ensure alignment of teaching and learning practices with IB PYP standards and practices. N Support the developmentand review of Programme of Inquiry (POI), unit planners, transdisciplinary learning, and subject-specific learning experiences. N Promote inquiry-based, concept-driven, student-centered, and transdisciplinary learning. N Support the integrationof the IB Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills across the curriculum. NnTeacher Mentoring & Instructional Leadership Nn Mentor, guide, and support teachers in effective implementation of PYP practices. N Facilitate collaborative planning meetings and professional learning communities. N Observe teaching and learning and provide constructive, developmental feedback. N Support teachers in developing inquiry-based learning experiences and differentiated instruction. N Encourage reflective practice, innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional growth. N Identify professional development needs and support the implementation of appropriate training initiatives. NnAssessment & Student Learning Nn Guide teachers inimplementing effective formative and summative assessment practices. N Monitor assessment processes to ensure alignment with PYP principles and learning outcomes. N Support teachers in documenting and communicating student learning and progress. N Promote assessment practices that encourage reflection, student agency, and meaningful feedback. N Review student learningevidence and work collaboratively with teachers to identify areas for improvement. NnIB Programme Development & Compliance Nn Coordinate PYP documentation and maintain relevant programme records and evidence. N Support the school leadership team in preparation for IB authorization, evaluation, and programme development processes.



N Liaise with the IB and relevant programme representatives as required. N Ensure that school policies, curriculum documentation, and learning practices reflect current IB expectations. N Stay updated with developments in the IB PYP framework, standards, practices, and requirements. NnProfessional Development Nn Plan, organize, and facilitate professional development sessions for teachers and staff. N Promote ongoing learning related to inquiry, conceptual understanding, assessment, differentiation, student agency, and international-mindedness. N Encourage teachers to participate in IB workshops and other relevant professional learning opportunities. N Build a culture of reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement. NnCollaboration & School Community Nn Work closely withthe Principal, Head of School, academic leaders, and teaching teams to strengthen PYP implementation. N Collaborate with specialist teachers and other academic departments to support transdisciplinary learning. N Engage with parents andthe wider school community to promote understanding of the PYP philosophy. N Support parent orientation and information sessions related to PYP learning and assessment. N Contribute to school-wide academic planning, policies, events, and strategic initiatives. NnStudent-Centered Learning & Wellbeing Nn Promote student agency, voice, choice, and ownership of learning. N Encourage a culture of curiosity, questioning, reflection, and lifelong learning. N Support inclusive and differentiated learning approaches that respond to diverse student needs. N Promote the developmentof internationally minded learners who demonstrate the IB Learner Profile attributes. NnQualifications & Experience Nn Bachelor's degreein Education, Elementary Education, Primary Education, or a related field. N Master's degree in Education or a related field is preferred. N Minimum 10 years of relevant teaching and PYP leadership/coordinator experience preferred.



N Recognized IB PYP training/workshop experience is essential. N Demonstrated experienceleading or supporting PYP implementation within a school environment. N Strong understanding ofinquiry-based, concept-driven, and transdisciplinary learning. N Experience with IB authorization, evaluation, programme development, or school improvement processes is highly desirable.
