Location: Caribbean IslandsEmployment Type: Full-TimeNumber of Vacancies: 4Experience: Minimum 5 YearsSpecialty: General Practice / Family MedicinePosition SummaryMedSciX is seeking experienced Consultant General Practitioners (GPs) with MRCGP certification for four full-time opportunities with a healthcare organization in the Caribbean.The successful candidates will provide comprehensive primary and general medical care to a diverse patient population. The role requires strong independent clinical judgment, experience managing complex and chronic medical conditions, and the ability to provide high-quality, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive Consultant-level primary and general medical care to adult and pediatric patients.Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.Manage complex and multi-morbidity cases requiring ongoing clinical assessment and continuity of care.Provide long-term management of chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.Conduct routine health assessments, physical examinations, preventive screenings, and risk assessments.Assess and stabilize patients presenting with urgent medical conditions and coordinate escalation of care when required.Order and interpret appropriate laboratory investigations, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.Prescribe medications and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and follow-up plans.Identify patients requiring specialist intervention and coordinate appropriate referrals.Provide preventive healthcare, health promotion, lifestyle counseling,



and patient education.Provide clinical guidance and support to other members of the healthcare team, as appropriate.Collaborate with specialists, nursing teams, allied health professionals, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with applicable professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.Participate in clinical governance, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development.Qualifications & ExperienceMBBS/MBChB/MD or equivalent recognized medical qualification.MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) certification – mandatory.Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical experience in General Practice/Family Medicine.Demonstrated experience in independent management of general practice patients, including complex and chronic cases.Current medical registration and good professional standing.Eligible and willing to obtain medical registration/licensure in the applicable Caribbean jurisdiction.Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.Willingness to relocate to the Caribbean.Skills & CompetenciesStrong clinical expertise in General Practice and primary care.Excellent diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and decision-making skills.Solid experience in acute and chronic disease management.Ability to independently manage complex and multi-morbidity cases.Strong preventive-care and health-promotion approach.Ability to recognize and appropriately escalate medical emergencies.Excellent patient communication and counseling skills.Strong multidisciplinary collaboration and clinical leadership skills.Commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient safety, and high-quality clinical care.
