Vacancy: Field Assistant - Urban Forestry (Miyawaki Forest)
No. of positions: 1
Working location: Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh
Joining: Immediate, by 10 October 2026
Experience : Minimum 6 months to 1 year job or internship experience in conservation, forestry, environment NGO
Contract : 6 months, including 2 months probation (Starting mid October 2026)
Education qualification: Master's degree in Botany, Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Life Sciences or related fields
Salary : INR 12,000 per month [in-hand] + Basic Accomodation + Field Travel Allowance
Roles and Responsibilities :
• Maintain the Miyawaki plantation at the project site
• Coordinate daily watering of the Miyawaki forest
• Coordinate weed removal/invasive species removal and check that it is done properly
• Biodiversity Assessment of the project site
• Monitor plant health and survival, and report problems
• Keep records and photos, and send regular reports to the team
Requirements:
• Passionate about nature conservation and urban greening
• Willing to work outdoors and travel to the project site daily
• Able to coordinate and manage workers
• Able to speak Telugu, English and Hindi
• Valuable writing and communication skills
• Available to join by 10 October 2026
