The Qualifications We Seek
- 3 to 5 years of recent Conventional Mortgage Underwriting experience
- Experience working with a U.S. company within the last 6 months
- Thorough understanding of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines
- Experience reviewing appraisals and collateral
- Strong experience underwriting self-employed borrowers
- Experience using DU, LP/LPA, CU, and Encompass
- Ability to independently evaluate and defend underwriting decisions
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Your Daily Tasks
- Review and underwrite conventional mortgage loans from submission through final approval
- Approve, decline, suspend, or counter-offer loans based on underwriting findings
- Sign off loan conditions before funding
- Evaluate borrower creditw
