About the role

SRMB Group is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead finance across a growing, multi-plant industrial enterprise. The CFO will work closely with the Directors and leadership team on financial strategy, capital allocation, capacity expansion and strategic transactions, while building the systems, controls and finance team needed for the Group’s next stage of growth.

Our ambition is to double the scale of the business over the next 2–3 years and quadruple it over 6–8 years. We are looking for a CFO who can help achieve that ambition with strong returns, healthy cash generation and prudent financial management.

Key responsibilities





Financial strategy and business performance
- Shape the Group’s financial strategy, annual plans, rolling forecasts and multi-year funding requirements.
- Give the Directors explicit, timely insight into profitability, cash flow, ROCE, working capital and performance against plan.
- Develop financial scenarios for major changes in demand, steel prices, input costs and investment needs, and recommend practical responses.

Capital allocation and expansion
- Lead the financial evaluation of greenfield projects, capacity expansion, automation, new products and diversification opportunities.
- Test business cases through financial modelling, return analysis and downside scenarios. Structure funding and review actual returns after investment.
- Maintain a disciplined approach to capital allocation as the Group grows.
