Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive intellectual property support to R&D; and business functions through patent and literature searching, patentability and preliminary infringement analysis, patent portfolio management, and timely IP intelligence to support product development and commercialization decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Patent & Literature Search
Design and execute search strategies using databases such as SciFinder, PatSeer and other free/public databases.
Conduct patent, literature and prior-art searches for proposed products, processes and technologies.
Identify relevant patents, publications and prior art and prepare search findings.
Patent & Literature Documentation
Prepare Literature Search Reports, Patent Evaluation Reports (PER), disclosure sheets and other IP-related documents.
Maintain proper documentation and records of search results and IP evaluations.
Patentability Analysis
Conduct preliminary patentability assessment of proposed inventions.
Analyse prior art to identify novelty, inventive step and potential patentability concerns.




Highlight potential IP risks and opportunities to the concerned R&D; teams.
Preliminary Infringement Analysis
Conduct preliminary infringement/FTO-related analysis for strategies proposed by F&D; and NDDS teams.
Review relevant patent claims and identify potential areas of IP risk.
Provide inputs to R&D; teams for designing strategies that consider the existing patent landscape.
Product Selection & IP Landscape
Support product selection activities by providing the patent scenario for targeted/interested countries.
Analyse patent expiry, active patents, relevant applications and other publicly available IP information.
Provide IP inputs to support product and market selection decisions.
Due Diligence Support
Provide preliminary patent information for due diligence activities related to team-oriented product development.
Support assessment of the IP position of products, technologies and potential collaboration opportu
