About the Team
The Platform Engineering and Infrastructure Team is responsible for building and operating Dyson's cloud platforms across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The team provides foundational capabilities including cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, developer enablement services, Infrastructure as Code, cloud networking, observability, security guardrails, and automation frameworks.
The team partners with engineering teams across Dyson to deliver secure, scalable, and easy-to-use cloud platforms. By leveraging automation and up-to-date cloud technologies, we help teams innovate faster, reduce operational overhead, and focus on building great products.
About the Role
As a Platform Engineer, Google Cloud Platform, you will:
• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and shared platform services on GCP.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and platform automation tooling.
• Build and operate Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud-native services.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation,
and platform integrations.
• Support cloud networking, identity management, observability, and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement governance, compliance, and security controls.
• Monitor platform health, availability, performance, and operational reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response and continuous improvement activities.
• Create reusable templates, standards, and self-service capabilities that improve developer experience.
• Partner with architects and engineering teams to enable adoption of cloud best practices.
• Support cloud cost optimization initiatives and contribute to platform efficiency improvements.
• Produce technical documentation, operational runbooks, and platform standards.
About You
You will likely possess:
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
