Role Description
The Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting menu items in line with Basil’s standards for freshness, quality, and transparency. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing food preparation, ensuring consistent taste and appearance, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards. The role also involves coordinating with kitchen staff, monitoring inventory and ingredient quality,



and supporting the development of new recipes that align with Basil’s brand values. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India, requiring close collaboration with the outlet team to deliver an excellent guest experience.

Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, preferably in QSR or casual dining.
• Robust culinary skills, including knife skills, cooking techniques, and plating standards.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations; ability to maintain a clean and organised kitchen.
• Ability to follow and consistently execute standardised recipes while upholding taste and quality benchmarks.
• Experience in kitchen operations such as inventory management, portion control, and waste reduction.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to guide and support kitchen staff.
