Role Description The Senior Resident in Transfusion Medicine is a full-time, in office role based in Gurugram. This position involves overseeing blood bank operations, including donor screening, blood collection, component preparation, compatibility testing, and safe transfusion practices. The Senior Resident will manage transfusion-related consultations, support emergency and critical care teams in urgent transfusion decisions,



and participate in transfusion reaction monitoring and reporting. Daily responsibilities include maintaining documentation and regulatory compliance, collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff, and contributing to quality improvement activities, teaching sessions, and clinical audits within the department.
Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in Medicine and Transfusion Medicine, with strong knowledge of blood banking procedures and transfusion protocols.
• Effective Communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, counseling patients and families, and documenting clearly.
• Experience Working with Physicians and other healthcare professionals in a hospital setting, ensuring collaborative and patient-centered care.
• Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with relevant postgraduate qualifications (MD/DNB in Transfusion Medicine, Pathology, or equivalent) as per local regulatory requirements.
