The Chance
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead and govern a portfolio of strategic programs and projects for a global financial services client. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent programs, driving executive governance, and influencing senior stakeholders. The individual will act as the bridge between senior leadership, program managers, and delivery teams to ensure proactive risk management, predictable delivery, and alignment to business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Program Management
• Manage and oversee a portfolio of multiple projects and programs across business and technology functions.
• Ensure alignment of portfolio objectives with organizational and client strategic goals.
• Drive execution excellence, delivery predictability, and portfolio-level performance reporting.
• Monitor project health, milestones, dependencies, and overall portfolio outcomes.
Executive Stakeholder Management
• Partner closely with Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs), client executives, and business stakeholders.
• Provide clear, concise, and executive-ready status updates on portfolio performance.
• Influence decision-making through data-driven insights, recommendations, and risk assessments.
• Build trusted relationships across client and internal leadership teams.
Governance & Reporting
• Establish and lead governance forums, steering committees, operational reviews, and executive status reviews.
