This is not just an accounting role. We’re looking for someone who can help us understand what the numbers are saying about the business, and what we should do next.
The role will cover:
- MIS & P&L;: Oversee reporting, identify gaps and drive corrective action.
- Profitability: Analyse store, category and designer-level profitability.
- Inventory & Working Capital: Monitor ageing, inventory health and working-capital efficiency.
- Cash Flow & Budgeting: Own budgeting, cash-flow planning and financial controls.
- Compliance: Oversee banking, taxation, compliance and controls, ensuring timely rectification.
- Forecasting & Commercial Support: Provide financial forecasts and insights to support business decisions.
Just as important is the person.
We’re looking for someone who is grounded, dependable, organised, commercially curious and low-ego. Someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, flags issues early and is confident enough to question something when the numbers don’t make sense.
You should enjoy understanding how a business works, not just maintaining its books.
Experience: 4–6 years
Location: Kolkata
Experience in retail, fashion, consumer or other inventory-led businesses would be helpful.
