Description

Articore runs Redbubble, TeePublic, Dashery, and Frankly Wearing, several of the largest creator marketplaces in the world — Redbubble's catalog alone exceeds 40 billion SKUs. As a Software Engineer here, you'll design, implement, and maintain the systems that power both marketplaces, working closely with your engineering manager, tech lead, and product partners to ship work that matters across your domain.

The Artist team owns the artist-facing experience across Redbubble and TeePublic - from onboarding and the upload flow through to the artist site, self-serve tools, communications, and the tax and royalty systems that keep artists paid and compliant. The team works across a Ruby on Rails codebase with a React/TypeScript layer for richer interactions. Day-to-day, the team balances feature delivery with a steady stream of BAU and compliance work (e.g. tax reporting, regulatory changes), in close partnership with Product, Legal, and the artist community itself.

Core Responsibilities

• Feature development and platform integration: Design, code, test,



and deploy software across the team's systems. Lead small to medium-sized initiatives that solve complex problems at scale, in line with Articore’s Engineering Principles and architecture standards.
• BAU maintenance and system health: Maintain and uplift existing services, manage tech debt responsibly, and ensure systems are well monitored with up-to-date documentation, under the guidance of the Tech Lead.
• Delivery collaboration and technical leadership: Participate in discussions on technical approach and feasibility, collaborate with team leads on discovery and scoping, translate business requirements into technical spikes and deliverables, and participate in team ceremonies including standups, planning, retrospectives, and showcases.
• Coaching and people development: Coach and support less experienced engineers in technical development, positive engineering practices, and Articore values.
