Airline Domain Ontology Architect / Airline Knowledge Architect who can create and maintain the semantic translation layer between legacy PSS concepts (PNR, ticket, EMD, SSR, inventory, fare class) and up-to-date IATA Offer & Order concepts (Offer, Order, Service, Fulfillment, Settlement, Delivery).
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Airline Ontology Architect with deep expertise in airline retailing, Passenger Service Systems (PSS), IATA One Order, NDC, and Offer & Order transformation.
The candidate will define and govern a canonical airline domain model that enables translation between legacy airline systems and modern retailing architectures. This role will act as the bridge between airline business stakeholders, architects, data engineers, AI teams, and product teams to ensure consistent interpretation of airline concepts across systems, APIs, data models, and AI agents.
The position is critical for building next-generation airline platforms, knowledge graphs, agentic AI systems,
and modernization programs.
Key Responsibilities
Airline Domain Ontology Design
• Design a canonical airline ontology covering:
• Reservations
• Inventory
• Ticketing
• Ancillary Services
• Departure Control
• Loyalty
• Revenue Accounting
• Settlement
• Create semantic mappings between:
• PNR ↔ Order
• Ticket ↔ Fulfillment
• EMD ↔ Service
• SSR/OSI ↔ Service Attributes
• Fare Products ↔ Offers
• etc.
• Manage ontology lifecycle, standards, governance, and version control.
PSS to One Order Translation
• Define business rules for translating legacy PSS constructs into One Order models.
• Establish transformation frameworks for:
• Amadeus Altea
• Sabre
• Navitaire
• Shares
• Other airline retailing platforms
• Create traceability matrices between legacy and target business processes.
Knowledge Graph & AI Enablement
• Develop airline knowledge graphs and taxonomy fra
