Reports To: Head of Department (HOD)
Job PurposeThe purpose of this position is to support the effective functioning and smooth running of the department. The Tutor will assist faculty members in teaching, clinical, and pre-clinical activities and support the academic and operational requirements of the department.
Qualifications• BDS in the respective subject from a DCI-recognized college/university or an equivalent recognized degree.
Roles & Responsibilities• Assist faculty members in supervising the teaching, pre-clinical, and clinical activities of undergraduate students.
• Attend to recent and existing patients during clinical duties as directed by the HOD.
• Support the day-to-day functioning and departmental responsibilities.
• Monitor departmental stock requirements and maintain the stock register.
• Maintain records of consumables issued to students.
• Manage the department library and maintain book issue/return records.
• Maintain patient records manually and update all relevant information in Orion.
• Supervise sterilization procedures and ensure proper maintenance of departmental equipment and instruments.
• Address patient grievances related to treatment and report them to the HOD.
• Maintain the Academic Daily Report (ADR) and departmental files/records.
• Participate in dental camps and other institutional outreach activities.
• Participate in University/Internal Assessment examinations and invigilation duties.
• Provide patient treatment in clinical departments and ensure timely and accurate updates in Orion.
• Generate and maintain daily and monthly reports through Orion.
• Supervise departmental cleanliness, hygiene, and overall clinical area maintenance.
• Conduct thorough OPD checks and identify suitable cases for ClinMasters and other departments according to their specific requirements.
