We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our research efforts at IIT Kanpur on the numerical modeling of PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) electrolyzers and fuel cells.

The research will focus on developing and applying advanced numerical models at the device level, and integrating these models with larger-scale system models for electrochemical energy systems.

The position provides an chance to work on challenging problems in hydrogen and fuel-cell technologies, transport phenomena, and clean-energy systems, while collaborating with national and international research partners.

The successful candidate will contribute to research involving:
• Numerical modeling of PEM electrolyzers and fuel cells
• Device-level multiphysics modeling
• Upscaling and integration of device models with system-level models
• Mass, momentum, and heat transport
• Transport through porous media
• Multiphase transport and related phenomena
• Electrochemical reaction and transport processes
• Development, validation, and application of computational models
