About the role

Lenity Health is a growing healthcare startup that supports US medical practices. We’re looking for a Virtual Medical Assistant to manage front desk calls, support patients, and help practices run smoothly.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys patient communication and is comfortable in a startup environment where processes are still being built and improved. You’ll work closely with the team, follow established workflows, and help create clearer processes as the role grows.

What you’ll do

-Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls to patients, pharmacies, and other offices as needed.
-Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments according to each practice’s guidelines.
-Handle requests related to prescriptions, lab orders, referrals, medical records, and other front desk matters.
-Document calls accurately in the EMR and follow up on requests until they are resolved or handed off to the right person.




-Identify concerns that need clinical or practice staff attention and escalate them promptly.
-Return missed calls and voicemails within the expected turnaround time.
-Follow each practice’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and help create or improve SOPs when a workflow needs clarification.
-Work with teammates to maintain call coverage, share updates, and ensure patients receive consistent information.
-Identify recurring issues and suggest practical improvements to the call handling process.
-Protect patient information and follow HIPAA requirements.

What we’re looking for

-Experience in a medical front desk, patient support, virtual medical assistant, or US healthcare operations role.
-Explicit spoken and written English and the ability to communicate with patients professionally and empathetically.
-Strong attention to detail, particularly when documenting calls and tracking follow-ups.
-Familiarity with appointment scheduling and EMR work
