Role Purpose:
The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing commercial and corporate legal support to the Digital Business, supporting a consistent and practical approach to legal matters across relevant geographies.

The role holder will support the review, drafting, negotiation and management of contracts relating to the purchase of goods and services for the Digital Business, in coordination with relevant business stakeholders.

The role supports the consistent application of legal and contractual standards in third-party contracting and assists in identifying and mitigating legal and contractual risks.

He/She will provide timely, practical and commercially focused legal advice and support to the Digital Business and work closely with the relevant Legal leadership and business stakeholders on legal matters within the scope of the role.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Strategy Planning
• Provide legal support to the Digital function in connection with business initiatives, projects and objectives.




• Stay up to date with relevant legal and regulatory developments affecting the Digital business and advise stakeholders on their potential impact.

Commercial and Corporate
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and other legal documentation relating to the Digital business, including NDAs, MOUs, marketing and advertising agreements, technology and IT agreements, logistics and supply chain agreements, marketplace and partnership agreements, and other relevant documentation, in a timely manner and ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable laws.
• Identify key legal and contractual risks and recommend practical mitigation measures to support business objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of agreements and legal matters and support effective contract tracking, reporting and administration.
• Support the management and coordination of disputes, claims, litigation and arbitration matters, including liaising with exte
