Position Summary
The Tax Preparer plays a critical role in helping clients achieve tax compliance and resolution with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and applicable state taxing authorities, including Franchise Tax Boards. This position is responsible for providing high-quality tax preparation, compliance, and reporting services to individuals and business entities.
The Tax Preparer will prepare a high volume of tax returns, review client documentation and tax transcripts, coordinate with offshore teams to verify information, and collaborate with U.S.-based teams to support the delivery of tax resolution and compliance services. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of delivering accurate and timely work in a fast-paced setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare a high volume of federal and state tax returns, including:
• Individual income tax returns (Form 1040)
• Schedule C returns
• Amended tax returns




• Corporate tax returns
• Partnership tax returns
• Review client tax documents, financial information, and IRS and state tax transcripts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Collect, organize, review, and maintain client documentation and ensure that all required records are properly filed within the client's case file.
• Communicate regularly with internal teams, offshore teams, and other relevant stakeholders via telephone and email to verify information, respond to inquiries, and provide updates regarding client case status.
• Collaborate with various internal departments and service teams to support the delivery of tax compliance and tax resolution services.
• Assist clients in achieving compliance by preparing and filing past-due tax returns and addressing outstanding tax filing requirements.
