Codeyoung is an EdTech company building learning experiences for students across the world. We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer who can own features end-to-end — from understanding the customer problem and designing the experience to building, shipping, and operating the system in production.

What you'll do
• Build and own customer-facing products using React and Node.js.
• Design APIs, data models, and backend systems that are reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into simple, thoughtful technical solutions.
• Work closely with Product, Design, Academics, and Operations to understand problems and ship solutions quickly.
• Make pragmatic architecture and engineering decisions without over-engineering.
• Review code and help establish strong engineering practices across the team.
• Debug production issues and improve the reliability and observability of our systems.




• Use AI coding tools effectively while maintaining a high bar for code quality and understanding what you ship.

What we're looking for
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong fullstack experience.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, API design, authentication, and modern web architecture.
• Experience designing and building production systems rather than just implementing well defined tickets.
• Strong product sense — you think about the experience from the customer's perspective, not just whether the code works.
• Ability to reason about edge cases, failure modes, concurrency, and real-world operational constraints.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership from problem definition through production.
• Positive written communication and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.

Bonus points
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL
