Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer – Proposal with solid expertise in proposal engineering, thermal and mechanical design, boiler and heater systems, costing, and techno-commercial proposal preparation. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end proposals for retrofitting and revamping projects, ensuring technical compliance, cost optimization, and timely submission of proposals.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Manage the complete proposal lifecycle, from customer enquiry and RFQ analysis to offer submission, order handover, and execution support.
• Review RFQs, tender documents, technical queries (TQ), and deviation sheets.
• Perform thermal sizing and mechanical design calculations for solid fuel boilers, thermic fluid heaters, hot water generators, and hot gas/air generators.
• Prepare and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID;).




• Select and evaluate critical components, including fans, pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as IBR, EN, and ASME.
• Prepare detailed component-level and system/package-level cost estimates.
• Develop techno-commercial proposals based on customer requirements, technical specifications, and project feasibility.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, front-end sales, and internal engineering and execution teams.
• Conduct Order Transfer Meetings (OTM) and provide technical clarifications during project execution.
• Lead and mentor proposal engineers, review deliverables, and ensure proposal quality and timely submission.
• Identify customer requirements and develop scalable, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
