About the Role
Every drone we fly carries a flight controller (ArduPilot/PX4, MAVLink) and an embedded Linux companion computer (Rockchip RK3588 / Jetson class) with its own 4G/5G link. Today, our ground station handles one aircraft at a time — video and MAVLink telemetry/control work, but there is no owner and no architecture for running this across a fleet. Security and reliability gaps that don't show up at one drone will surface the moment we add more.
You will own the system that moves two independent data streams — low-latency video and bidirectional MAVLink telemetry/control — from all drones simultaneously to one dashboard, reliably, securely, and at fleet scale. This is a build-and-own role: you make the architecture decisions and defend them with measurements, write the pipelines, run the relay infrastructure, and carry a live fleet.
Responsibilities
- Own the system that moves two independent data streams — low-latency video and bidirectional MAVLink telemetry/control — from all drones simultaneously to one dashboard, reliably, securely, and at fleet scale.
- Make the architecture decisions and defend them with measurements.
- Write the pipelines, run the relay infrastructure, and carry a live fleet.
- Architecture for aggregating video + MAVLink telemetry from multiple aircraft onto one dashboard, scaling the system beyond today's single-drone ceiling.
