About the Role:
This is a consultative business development role focused on helping startups understand
and adopt DPDP compliance and governance best practices.

Full-time • Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (On-site)

You will work closely with:
- Startup founders
- Technology companies
- Incubators & accelerators
- Investor networks
- Ecosystem partners

The role requires someone who can simplify complex regulatory concepts, identify business opportunities, and position advisory services as strategic enablers for growth and investor readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales
- Drive end-to-end sales for DPDP compliance and startup advisory services
- Identify and engage startups requiring privacy, compliance, and governance support
- Build and manage a strong pipeline through networking, partnerships, and outreach
- Conduct discovery discussions and understand founder pain points
- Present and pitch advisory solutions in a consultative manner

Ecosystem Engagement
Build relationships with:
o Startup founders
o Incubators & accelerators




o Startup communities
o Venture capital and investor networks
o Represent The Startup Zone at startup events, conferences, webinars, and ecosystem initiatives
o Support strategic partnerships and collaboration opportunities

Market Development
Stay updated on developments relating to:
o DPDP Act
o Data privacy trends
o Startup governance and compliance
o Help position The Startup Zone as a thought leader in the DPDP compliance space
o Contribute ideas for workshops, founder awareness sessions, and ecosystem
engagement activities

Desired Candidate Profile:
3–5 years of experience in:
o Business development
o Startup ecosystem engagement
o Consulting or professional services sales

o Robust understanding of the startup ecosystem and founder journey
o Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
o Ability to engage with CXOs and founders confidently
o High ownership mindset with a strong focu
