Actuarial Intern
We are looking for an

Actuarial Intern

to join our team and gain hands-on experience in life insurance modelling, valuation, risk management, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field and a keen interest in the life insurance industry.

Requirements:
Pursuing a degree in

Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance , or a related quantitative discipline.
Actively pursuing an actuarial qualification and having cleared

1 or more actuarial papers

would be preferred.
Strong interest in

Life Insurance products , particularly US Life Insurance and/or Annuity products.
Basic understanding of actuarial concepts such as

pricing, valuation, reserves, risk management, cashflows, and ALM .
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical and structured approach.
Good knowledge of

Excel ; exposure to programming languages such as

Python, R, SQL,



or VBA

would be an advantage.
Exposure to

AXIS or other actuarial modelling/projection software

would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
Ability to learn new concepts, tools, and processes quickly.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
Assist the actuarial team in the

conversion, valuation, and analysis of life insurance blocks of business .
Support

model testing and validation

activities following model development or conversion.
Assist in developing and maintaining

cashflow models

for insurance liabilities, investments, and derivatives.
Support

experience analysis

and investigation of movements in insurance portfolios.
Assist in preparing

income statement and balance sheet projections

from financial models.
