ob Purpose

The Audit Associate will be responsible for supporting audit engagements from planning through completion. The role involves performing audit procedures, preparing working papers, analysing financial information, identifying audit issues and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.

The position will provide an prospect to work closely with senior audit professionals and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Assurance
- Assist in planning and execution of audit assignments for domestic and international clients.
- Perform audit procedures in accordance with the audit plan, applicable standards and firm methodology.
- Obtain and examine financial records, supporting documents and other relevant information.
- Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures and test of controls.
- Verify assets, liabilities, income, expenses and other financial statement items.
- Review bank reconciliations, accounts receivable,



accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory and other balance sheet schedules.
- Perform vouching and verification of transactions and supporting documentation.
- Assist in revenue, expense and payroll testing.
- Participate in physical verification of inventory and fixed assets, wherever required.
- Identify unusual transactions, discrepancies and potential audit issues and report them to seniors.
- Ensure audit evidence is properly documented and maintained in working papers.

Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Assist in reviewing financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Understand and apply applicable accounting standards such as Ind AS, IFRS, US GAAP or other relevant GAAP, depending on the client.
- Perform financial statement tie-outs and cross-referencing.
