About the Role

PS Associates is looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in government sales, institutional sales, IT hardware, and tender-based business.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with government departments and institutional buyers, generating leads, managing the sales pipeline, and converting opportunities into profitable orders.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with Government Departments, PSUs, Educational Institutions, Hospitals, Banks and Corporates.
- Generate recent leads through direct outreach, market research, references and networking.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams.
- Identify relevant government and institutional procurement opportunities.




- Coordinate with the tender team for suitable GeM and government tender opportunities.
- Conduct regular client meetings and follow-ups.
- Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals and quotations.
- Coordinate with OEMs, distributors and internal teams for pricing, availability and authorization.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Develop existing accounts for repeat orders and cross-selling opportunities.
- Track competitors, market pricing and upcoming procurement requirements.
- Ensure timely follow-up from enquiry to quotation, order closure and payment.
- Travel for customer meetings and business development activities as required.

Candidate Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in B2B, Government Sales, Institutional Sales, IT Hardware Sales or Tender-based Sales.
- Experience dealing with Government Departments / PSUs / Institutions will be preferred.
