The Opportunity

We are looking for a Category Manager to join Elchemy's growing sales team. This is a high-ownership, target-driven role focused on building new customer relationships and generating business from the ground up.

You will be responsible for identifying potential customers, reaching out to decision-makers, understanding their requirements, developing qualified opportunities, and working towards converting them into customers.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sales, talking to customers, hunting for opportunities, and working in a quick-paced environment. You will get hands-on exposure to B2B sales, specialty chemicals, sourcing, and global trade while working closely with experienced sales and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities for Elchemy’s products & services for the global market focusing on the personal care and home care industry.
- Understand customer requirements and close business by learning about their products, applications, volumes, pricing, and sourcing needs,



and taking opportunities from initial conversation to quotation, negotiation, and closure.
- Find and reach out to new customers through email, phone, LinkedIn, industry databases, and other channels. Research companies, find the right contacts, and build a steady pipeline of prospects.
- Build strong customer and supplier relationships and work closely with sales, sourcing, procurement, and operations teams to ensure requirements are handled smoothly and orders are fulfilled on time.
- Manage sourcing and procurement by finding the right suppliers, checking availability and pricing, getting quotes, and working with suppliers to meet customer requirements.
- Meet business targets and maintain sales discipline by keeping the CRM updated, following up regularly, and delivering against targets for new customers, revenue, gross margin, and sales activity. Continuously learn about chemicals, suppliers, customers, and markets.
