Key Responsibilities
nCost Accounting & Product Costing
n
- n
- Prepare and maintain standard costs for billets, TMT bars, and by-products (scale, slag, etc.)n
- Compute process-wise cost (Melting Shop/SMS, Rolling Mill) including yield, conversion cost, and burning lossn
- Track and analyze raw material consumption (iron ore/sponge iron/scrap) vs. standard normsn
- Prepare cost sheets for each grade/size of TMT bars producedn

nYield & Variance Analysis
n
- n
- Monitor metallic yield, rolling yield, and power/fuel consumption against budgeted normsn
- Investigate and report variances (material, labor, overhead) with root-cause analysisn
- Track scrap generation, rejection, and rework costsn

nBudgeting & MIS
n
- n
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and monthly rolling forecastsn
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports on production cost, per-ton conversion cost, and profitabilityn
- Track power & fuel cost per ton, consumable costs, and other overheadsn

nInventory & Valuation
n
- n




- Conduct physical stock verification of stores / raw materials, WIP, and finished goodsn
- Ensure correct inventory valuation as per costing standards and accounting policies (Ind AS)n
- Reconcile stock records between production, stores, and financen

nCompliance & Audit
n
- n
- Maintain cost records as per Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rules, if applicablen
- Support internal, statutory, and cost audits with required schedules and datan
- Ensure compliance with GST/costing-related documentationn

nCross-Functional Coordination
n
- n
- Liaise with production, purchase, and quality departments to gather cost-relevant datan
- Support pricing decisions by providing cost-plus analysis for different product gradesn
- Assist management with cost-reduction initiatives and process improvement studiesn

nKey Skills Required
