redBus is looking for a commercially sharp and entrepreneurial leader to drive the next phase of business in Malaysia.

About the Role

The role is responsible for building new revenue streams, scaling strategic distribution, and incubating businesses beyond our core B2C bus-ticketing business. The role will work closely with Supply, Product, Marketing, Operations and Finance, while independently owning strategic external partnerships and taking initiatives from idea → execution → measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

Recent Business Incubation & Scale

Scale the Things To Do (TTD) business by strengthening supply, distribution, merchandising and commercial performance.
Evaluate, incubate and launch adjacent verticals such as Cab Sharing, Hotels and other mobility/travel services.

Revenue & Market Initiatives

Partner with Supply, Product, Marketing and Operations to execute market-specific initiatives, including:
Tier 2 and Tier 3 expansion in Malaysia
University boarding point initiatives in Malaysia
Other localized growth initiatives across Malaysia




Lead Business Opportunity (BO) programs targeting USD 0.5M+ in incremental annual revenue through commercial initiatives, operator-funded programs, lending partnerships, advertising revenue and other monetization opportunities.

Strategic Partnerships & Distribution

Own and grow API, white-label, affiliate and in-app distribution partnerships with strategic partners such as Grab, Omio, ShopBack, Touch 'n Go, ABA Bank, ACLEDA Bank, Wing Bank, Smart and other regional players.
Develop long-term strategic relationships across banks, telecom, e-commerce, fintech and other ecosystem partners.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

MBA from a Tier 1 College
Years of Experience (Minimum & Maximum) : 6 - 8 yrs of experience
