Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to validate frontend and backend applications through automated, integration and end-to-end testing. The role will test React-based frontend applications and Java-based backend services, ensuring that software meets functional, technical and quality expectations.
The QA Automation Engineer will design, develop, maintain and execute automated test solutions using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, RestAssured, Postman and Cucumber BDD. The role will contribute to reliable releases by identifying defects early, improving test coverage, supporting agile delivery teams and applying structured problem-solving throughout the software development lifecycle.

Software Requirements

Required
- Java: Hands-on experience with Java for automation development and testing Java-based backend applications; experience should align with the current project-supported version.
- JavaScript and/or TypeScript: Practical coding experience for frontend automation, test utilities or framework development.
- React:



Experience testing React-based frontend applications.
- Selenium: Prior hands-on experience with Selenium and Java for UI automation.
- Playwright: Experience with Playwright for browser-based testing is required as part of the broader automation-tool experience.
- Cucumber BDD: Experience building or maintaining behavior-driven development frameworks using Cucumber.
- REST API Testing: Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, including request validation, response validation, error handling and integration scenarios.
- RestAssured: Experience using RestAssured for API automation.
- Postman: Experience using Postman for API testing, validation and troubleshooting.
- SQL Databases: Familiarity with SQL databases and the ability to validate test data using SQL queries.
- Git: Experience using Git for source control, branching, merging and code collaboration.
