About the Role
We're hiring a Backend Engineer for a full-time, in office role in Pune. You'll take ownership of core server-side systems, driving key architectural decisions and setting technical standards across the backend. Beyond building and optimizing high-performance APIs, you'll be a technical anchor for the team — mentoring engineers,



reviewing designs, and making the tradeoffs that keep our platform scalable as it grows. You'll partner closely with front-end and AI/ML engineers to ship features end to end, and you'll be a go-to voice when the team hits gnarly performance or integration challenges.

This is a senior-level position — we are not considering interns, new graduates, or entry-level candidates for this role.

What You'll Do
• Own the design and architecture of backend systems, from high-level structure to low-level implementation
• Set technical direction and best practices for backend development across the team
• Build and optimize APIs for performance, reliability, and scale
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers, including code and design reviews
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance bottlenecks and system-level issues
