Job Description:

An industrial electrician in a FOUNDARY PLANT is primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the complex electrical systems and heavy machinery specific to the manufacturing process, while ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Repair: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and control panels, often working with high voltage systems (up to 480V or higher three-phase systems).
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical problems and malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize production downtime, using a variety of testing devices such as multimeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance, safety, and operational reliability.
- System Integration: Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs),



and automation control systems, including programming and troubleshooting related electronic hardware.
- Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce strict adherence to safety procedures, lockout/tag-out procedures, and all relevant local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations (e.g., National Electrical Code, OSHA standards).
- Documentation and Planning: Read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to plan and execute projects. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers, production teams, and other tradespeople (mechanical, instrumentation) to ensure seamless operations and assist in the training/mentoring of junior staff.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree or completion of an apprenticeship program preferred.
