WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Senior Software Engineer (iOS) in the Design System team, you will build and evolve the foundations that enable iOS teams across H&M; to deliver consistent, accessible and high-quality digital experiences. You will work at the intersection of Design, Engineering and Product, creating reusable components, APIs, patterns and tooling that can be adopted across multiple products.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and evolution of reusable iOS components using Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit where appropriate.
- Design scalable component APIs supporting variants, states, themes, composition and accessibility.
- Translate Figma/design specifications into production-ready components in close collaboration with designers.
- Contribute to design tokens and foundations such as colour, typography, spacing, sizing and themes.
- Establish architecture, coding standards and engineering best practices for the iOS Design System.
- Build accessibility, performance, quality and maintainability into components by default.




- Work with product teams to support adoption, identify gaps and turn recurring needs into reusable solutions.
- Create clear documentation, examples and guidance that make components easy to discover and use.
- Maintain automated unit, UI and snapshot/visual regression tests where appropriate.
- Own component evolution, including versioning, backward compatibility, deprecation and migration strategies.
- Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews and mentor engineers across the iOS community.
- Explore improvements to design-to-code workflows and developer experience.
