Our client is seeking a seasoned Head of Accounts and Finance, with a solid background in managing the accounting & finance functions in the context of international trade, export/import business operations. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA), with a preference for those also certified as a Company Secretary (CS). This role is pivotal for the company's financial strategy, managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and overseeing tax obligations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in steering the company towards financial health, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Oversight: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals, overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

- Accounting Leadership: Manage all accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, ledger management, and cash flow monitoring.

- Compliance and International Trade: Ensure compliance with FEMA for foreign exchange transactions and manage all aspects of import/export compliance. Oversee taxation issues related to international trade, ensuring adherence to both domestic and international tax laws.

- Tax Management: Develop tax strategies and manage tax compliance, filings, and reporting. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations, and stay updated on tax law changes.

- Audit and Risk Management: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. Identify and mitigate financial risks related to international trade and taxation.

- Team Leadership and Development: Build, lead, and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the team.
