About the Role
The Principal Platform Engineer is responsible for the continuous integration, automation, and continuous deployment of applications and systems both internally and externally. In this role, you will design and lead CI/CD platforms, drive automation strategies, partner cross-functionally to develop practical solutions, and serve as an innovative thought leader who mentors and elevates the team. If you're a seasoned DevOps engineer with a passion for automation, architectural excellence, and continuous improvement, this role is for you.

Technology Tools
- CI/CD Platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins GitLab CI or Equivalent)
- Configuration Management Tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Equivalent)
- Containers (e.g., Docker, Podman)
- Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS/AKS/GKS, or OpenShift)
- Linux Administration
- Langugages (Python, Bash or Go)
- Java runtime and ecosystem (Apache Tomcat. Springboot)
- Git & GitOPS tools (git, FluxCD or ArgoCD)





Your Role Responsibilities — Here's What You'll Do
- Design a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) platform; develop and lead in the execution of best practices including providing solution architectures and strategy for adoption.
- Optimize CI jobs for best productive and lowest cost.
- Design solutions to automate the deployment of applications, using Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts and Ansible playbooks/roles; design monitoring and management tools and deployment processes to provide visibility with a focus on high availability.
- Partner with respective departments to develop practical automation solutions; participate in cross-functional team meetings to collaborate and ensure successful execution. In particular you’ll be responsible for providing developers with solutions that really ease their work day in, day out.
- Lead performance and test automation integration into the CI/CD pipeline;
