WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
SimCorp is establishing a Foundational APIs capability to make core business data and functionality easier to access securely, consistently, and reliably across our products and solutions.
As a Principal Software Engineer,



you will play a central role in shaping this capability. You will help define and build stable, reusable API contracts that enable product experiences, integrations, workflows, clients, and approved AI solutions to interact with SimCorp’s business capabilities without needing to understand the complexity of the underlying systems.
This is not a role focused only on defining standards or producing architecture. You will work hands-on with engineers, architects, product leaders, domain experts, and existing platform teams to turn technical direction into production-quality software. You will help the team reuse existing API infrastructure and domain capabilities where appropriate, progressively abstract legacy implementations, and avoid creating unnecessary layers or duplication.
