About Us

At Gameopedia, our journey began in Norway with a simple mission: to be the geeky gamer friend who helps people discover great games and have better gaming experiences. From humble beginnings, we quickly made our mark, landing our first major customer just a year later, one of Norway’s largest news publications. That milestone led us to expand to India, where five passionate gamers began building Gameopedia around a dining table in a small apartment.

Today, with offices in Oslo and Hyderabad, we provide industry-leading video game data, metadata and insights to some of the world’s biggest companies, powering experiences and decisions for millions of gamers every day.

Over more than 15 years, we have built deep gaming expertise and one of the industry’s richest and most structured sources of video game data. As technology and AI transform how games are discovered, understood and experienced, we believe trusted, comprehensive and high-quality data will become more significant than ever.

Our ambition is to make Gameopedia the data truth for gaming:

the trusted foundation that companies, products and AI systems rely on to understand the world of games. Our vision is to empower businesses across the gaming ecosystem to create extraordinary experiences for a billion gamers every day.

If you want to help build the data foundation powering the future of gaming, we’d love to have you on the journey.
