Role Summary
The Business Analyst (BA) on the DD&T; Medical Digital Enablement team supports the Medical Search Product Owner by translating Global Medical Affairs (GMA) needs into clear business requirements and actionable delivery plans for medical search capabilities. The BA serves as a primary liaison among Global Medical Affairs, technical delivery teams, and end users, ensuring that search solutions are usable, compliant, measurable, and continuously improved.
This role supports search-related projects and enhancements, provides ongoing business analyst support for search tools, oversees search analytics and reporting, and performs SharePoint medical search page administration and page design as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1) Product & Stakeholder Partnership (Medical Search)
- Partner with the Medical Search Product Owner to shape product roadmap items into transparent, prioritized requirements and deliverables.
- Act as a liaison between Global Medical Affairs, technical teams (e.g., engineering, platform, architecture, data/analytics, security),



and end users to ensure aligned outcomes.
- Facilitate meetings, and working sessions to elicit needs, define problems, and validate proposed solutions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through proactive communication, and transparent documentation of scope, assumptions, and dependencies.

2) Requirements, User Stories & Delivery Enablement
- Produce high-quality artifacts including business requirements, functional/non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, and impact assessments.
- Ensure requirements address search-specific considerations such as relevance, metadata/taxonomy, content sources, indexing cadence, permissions, and user experience.
- Collaborate with UX/design and engineering to refine requirements into testable deliverables; support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release readiness.
