1. Role Purpose
The Finance Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and strengthening the day-to-day finance operations of the diagnostic business, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, financial controls, regulatory compliance and effective coordination between Finance, Operations, Sales, Billing, Collection and other business functions.
The role will focus on revenue assurance, billing controls, receivables, vendor management, MIS, branch/centre-level financial monitoring, process controls and operational efficiency.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Revenue & Billing Operations
- Oversee end-to-end billing and revenue accounting across diagnostic centres, laboratories, home collection and B2B/corporate business.
- Ensure accurate billing for pathology, radiology and other diagnostic services.
- Monitor cash, card, UPI, online, corporate and credit billing.
- Ensure reconciliation between patient registration, test orders, billing, discounts, collections and revenue recognition.
- Monitor billing errors, cancellations, refunds, credit notes and write-offs.
- Establish controls to minimise revenue leakage and unbilled services.
- Review unusual discounts, complimentary tests and manual billing adjustments.
A1. Pricing, Share Set and Margin tagging
- Migration of Test MRP from LIMS to ERP
- Migration of Margin share /Net Rate from LIMS to ERP
- Ensure minimal deviation on Revenue Leakage
B. Revenue Assurance & Business Controls
- Develop and monitor controls covering the complete cycle of:
Patient Registration → Test Order → Sample Collection → Testing → Result → Billing → Collection → Accounting.
- Identify gaps resulting in revenue leakage, incorrect billing or delayed collection.
- Conduct periodic review of centre-wise and test-wise revenue.
- Monitor price master, package rates, corporate rates and approved discount structures.
- Ensure appropriate approval matrix for discounts, refunds, credit notes and write-offs.
