You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, leading a squad of engineers to build scalable, secure, and high-performance Python-based solutions.

This role requires a hands-on technical expert who can architect microservices, drive Agile delivery, mentor developers, and ensure alignment with Mashreq's cloud-first and digital transformation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Delivery & Governance: Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of projects. Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, sprint goals, and resource allocations.
- Hands-On Development:

Write clean, maintainable, and highly productive Python code for complex backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Team Mentorship: Manage, mentor, and upskill a team of software engineers. Conduct rigorous code reviews, enforce coding standards, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Drive the adoption of automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code. Ensure seamless deployment of applications into cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with banking regulatory standards, data privacy laws, and Mashreq's strict cybersecurity protocols. Manage technical debt and system vulnerabilities.
- Stakeholder Management: Translate complex technical concepts into business terms for non-technical stakeholders. Proactively identify technical risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
