Position Summary
As the Engineering Manager, Machine Vision Algorithms, you will lead a team of computer vision, machine learning, and software engineers responsible for developing and sustaining algorithm solutions for Wabtec's Wayside Monitoring portfolio. Working closely with the US-based Senior Manager responsible for the overall Machine Vision Algorithms (MVA) organization, you will drive execution of the technical roadmap, build engineering capability within the Bangalore team, and ensure high-quality delivery of machine vision and AI solutions.
This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can manage a team,



collaborate across global engineering organizations, and drive development of scalable machine vision and machine learning solutions that deliver customer value. The position is based in Bangalore and serves as a key extension of the global MVA leadership team.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & People Development
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of machine vision, AI/ML, and software engineers located in Bangalore.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development activities.
- Build technical competency and leadership capabilities within the team.
- Partner with global engineering leaders to ensure effective resource planning and talent growth.
