Backend Engineer – Evidence & Audit Pipeline (Senior)
Experience band: 7–10 years
Builds the tamper-evident audit trail that regulators and
auditors will inspect.
Responsibilities
• Builds a Kafka consumer service that
canonicalises request records, hash-chains them and writes them to write-once
object storage
• Integrates with the client SIEM (syslog, CEF or
Splunk HEC) and builds chain-verification tooling
• Designs retention, legal hold and cryptographic
purge for personal data
Must have
• 7+ years in backend engineering (Go, Java or
Python)
• Kafka, S3-compatible object storage, PostgreSQL
• Applied cryptography basics: hashing, signing,
key management
Nice to have
• Experience with audit or compliance data in
banking or financial services
