As a Database Support Engineer, you will help developers resolve complex technical challenges and build reliable applications on a modern cloud development platform. You will investigate advanced issues across PostgreSQL, authentication, storage, real-time systems, edge functions, and client libraries. The role combines deep database expertise with consultative customer support and close collaboration with engineering teams. You will turn incomplete issue reports into actionable investigations, reproduce difficult bugs, and identify practical solutions. Your insights will also help improve documentation, tooling, product quality, and the overall developer experience. This is a fully remote, asynchronous role suited to an experienced technical skilled who can communicate fluently in both Japanese and English.

Accountabilities:




- Investigate and resolve advanced technical issues involving PostgreSQL, authentication, row-level security, storage, realtime systems, edge functions, and client libraries.
- Provide proactive, consultative guidance to advanced users, helping them optimize workloads, avoid common pitfalls, and implement effective solutions.
- Reproduce reported bugs, isolate root causes, develop workarounds, and escalate issues to engineering with clear reproduction steps and technical context.
- Ask targeted diagnostic questions to transform incomplete customer reports into actionable technical cases.
- Communicate clearly, empathetically, and effectively with users of different technical backgrounds, particularly during high-impact or time-sensitive situations.
- Identify recurring patterns across support cases and recommend improvements to documentation, internal tooling, and product functionality.
