Position Summary

This person will be responsible to develop new products and set process based on customer needs and prototyping. Cost effective Automations to manufacture products with optimized processes. The person will also closely work with internal and external key function stakeholders such as production, purchase team, quality and sales team for timely completion of assignment/Projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist with managing the product development process from the product & process development to the post-launch analysis phase.

Identify and implement design improvements (functionality, cost and design for manufacture)

Responsible for value engineering and value analysis





Liaise closely with all departments to fully understand design requirements.

Guide design team in developing new product development.

Respond to Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from the Sales team.

Guide team to create BOM in SAP ERP system.

Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems

Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors

Skills & Abilities Required

Solid Works / Auto CAD

Sound Knowledge of Engineering Drawing and Geometrical Dimensions and Tolerances

SAP ERP system

Process improvement and Automations.

Positive people management skills.

Effective communication skills.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of applicable national and international engineering standers.

Good knowledge of metallurgy and base metals like steel, ZI
