Wilhelmsen Ship Management Chennai is looking for a Technical Support Engineer (PMS) to join the Global PMS Support Team. This role combines Planned Maintenance System (PMS) technical support and PMS database project activities, requiring close interaction with vessel personnel, Technical Managers, Fleet Managers, and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing PMS support to vessels, maintaining PMS technical data, supporting database improvement initiatives, and ensuring accuracy and quality of PMS spare parts data. The role requires excellent communication skills, robust customer service orientation,



and the ability to work effectively with both vessel and shore-based stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), responding to vessel and stakeholder queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with vessel crews, Technical Managers, Fleet Managers, and other stakeholders to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve PMS-related issues.
- Maintain and update PMS databases, including equipment hierarchies, maintenance tasks, spare parts records, and technical documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Review maker's manuals, drawings, and technical documents to extract, validate, and standardize spare parts, component, and maintenance information.
- Perform quality assurance and data validation activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of PMS data.
